What to Do When a Tree Falls on a House
A tree on a structure is both a tree problem and a building-safety problem. The first priority is people, then electrical and structural hazards, then documentation and controlled removal.

If there is serious structural damage, active electrical danger, fire, gas odor, or an immediate threat to occupants, use emergency services as appropriate.
Do not climb onto the roof
Branches can shift, roof surfaces can be damaged, and the tree may be under tension. Observe and photograph only from a safe location.
Contact the utility if lines are involved
Do not touch the tree, fence, vehicle, or other objects that may be energized.
Coordinate cleanup with repair needs
Tree removal may need to be staged so the structure can be protected, documented, and accessed by the relevant repair trades.
